Baseball is No Longer Just for the Boys; Girls Travel Baseball Rolls out New Elite Female, Youth Travel Baseball Organization

Travel Baseball
(GTB) is an elite all female travel baseball
based out of South Florida, founded in 2015 by Robert
Saven, CEO of Bases
Inc. in Sunrise, Florida and Josh DeVinney of Longwood,

GTB was created to bring together the best elite
female athletes with a passion for baseball
. An idea that started
while watching their daughters excel on the diamond playing amongst boys
has come full circle over the last sixteen months. In September 2016, GTB
began working with the Miami Marlins and MLB to grow the game of
baseball for the under-served female market. This initiative included a
combine weekend in Marlins Park that was run by GTB staff and USA
Baseball coaches and was attended by over 15 MLB scouts.

30 players from all over the country attended and included a full day of
workouts/evaluations in Marlins Park. It concluded on Sunday with
scrimmages against local boys teams.

“The experience these outstanding athletes had in September, being able
to play, try out and compete at Marlins Park was an opportunity of a
lifetime,” said Robert Saven, Co-Founder, GTB and CEO of Bases
Loaded, Inc
. “As we continue to grow, we will have more events like
the one held at Marlins Park in an effort to make GTB a top youth travel
baseball organization and a chance for our girls to compete at the
highest level.”

GTB is comprised of over forty rostered players playing across three age
groups with expansion underway into the Summer, 2017. A Spring/Summer
tournament schedule will be posted after the ABCA convention in Anaheim.

Founder Josh DeVinney added, “GTB’s long term goal is to become the
feeder program for USA Baseball to fill an evident void with the girls
program. GTB has been working with USA staff/coaches to mirror
their program and prepare the younger players in our country to play for
USA Baseball. The success we have had on the field, has really set the
tone for future growth.”

GTB Players and families will compete in high profile tournaments
nationwide including Ripken Baseball, Baseball Youth, Top Gun and more.
